Back Again

"Being defeated is often a temporary condition. Giving up is what makes it permanent." ~ Marilyn Vos Savant

Thanks for your support and feedback on my previous posts. I've really been struggling over the last few months. Although I haven't stepped on a scale for over a month that the weight has gradually crept back on. As
Kim Ayres said in the comment section of one of my last posts:
"I would say that being overweight is a symptom of another problem (probably PROBLEMS) and until you get to the bottom of that then the struggle will always yield limited success."
....and he would be correct in saying so. There are a plethora of issues that I need to "get to the bottom of" and sometimes I don't know where to start. The important thing is that I'm aware that they are present, and I'm currently trying to deal with them.

I would like to point out that I'm not sure that I would of admitted this or returned to my blog without the continued love, support and encouragement of the love of my life....Sherri.

I'm so glad that you've posted again. I've been struggling mightily and have missed reading your posts. Whether you're on or off track with getting rid of the weight, it's good to know how you are doing. I'm glad that you have the support and encouragement of a loving wife. You are both blessed by having each other.

Getting to the bottom of the issues can also be a major source of distraction. Some problems have no solution, and other problems can take a lifetime to resolve. I read a Japanese psychology book that suggested that the best way to be happy was to keep smiling until you became happy. Sometimes you just have to live it until you become it. I hope you feel better and know that I support your efforts. I know that you can succeed.

The support of a loving partner is great. There is no way I could have done what I have without Maggie.

Keep writing, even when it's going wrong - in fact especially when it's going wrong. By writing about where and when we screw up, we get a better insight into our patterns of behaviour.

I disagree with spider. I'm not saying that you can't make a start until you're sorted out - if that was the case we'd never make a start on anything - but as we progress and make more insights, we gain powerful tools for our armoury.

Write it all down, Sir Squishy. Don't shy away from it in embarrassment. In this group, we understand.

Just keep at it Sir Squishy!
Remember, it's never too late to get on track and I know that you can do it!
Just keep at it - success will come.
