You can also carefully cut 1 heavier slice in half.... I've done it a few times when I've had a hankering for a sandwich, but didn't want all the carbs.

I don't even eat wheat bread anymore.
Wow... I couldn't even imagine doing that. I love sandwiches too much & I rely on bread to keep my fiber intake high.
I'm actually half finished a post on bread/fiber... should be published later this week.
Fiber is in lots of things, I still get in other things, but I don't think it is worth all the negatives that most bread have (especially since of them hot and buttered)
